Well....time comes and times goes. Work is still going strong, but I am certainly getting burnt out. I love the people that I work with so that makes it alot easier. We had our 2 YEAR ANNIVERSARY on the 12th! I CAN'T BELIEVE IT!! 2 YEARS. We didn't do anything big since we just had a big trip to HAWAII...so we went to dinner and were bums at home which was SO NICE..... Duncan has had a couple of interviews with accounting jobs but no-go. We just keep praying and hoping that something will come our way. But I think Heavenly Father is teaching us about patience. Which I am not a very patient person. I just feel that my life right is going crazy, trying to please everyone and yet have a husband to still take care of. It's hard, I don't have time to really do help around the house, but my dear sweet is my life saver. He does so much for me it's un-real. Sometimes he goes without even being un-noticed. Thanks cutie...

I at at the point in my life were I know I need to give up one thing so I can feel sane again. But it's hard cause unfortunately our lives all are run by money. I don't need to money to make me happy. This part of my life is only a little bit compared to eternity and I just keep that thought in my mind and keep chuggin' along. I have great supports around me, My hubby, my family and my girls from school/work. I just have to vent about it cause it makes me feel better about myself. I guess....

but on a happier note.....SYRACUSE HERITAGE DAYS were this past weekend, they were so much fun.....we went to the parade /surf n swim / AND FIREWORKS!!!! I also got my Bountiful Basket too it's so yummy!

Well I have done it, I have found ANOTHER work out seris that is a MUST HAVE. Have you have ever heard of Turbo Jam? Of course you have, I pretty much blog about it everyday of my life (besides Disneyland and Hair school) well the creator of Turbo Jam has a new home work out video called TURBO FIRE...it's the advance version of Turbo Jam. it's suppose to be more intense cardio! WHICH GETS MY PUMPED UP BABY! I am getting it today so I will let you know how it is....I ALSO I am trying to figure out how to change my fonts on here....ANYONE KNOW HOW??? And any other cool tricks.... let me know!

Well it's been a long time since I last blogged...alot has happened. Duncan's Bday has come and gone, my mom's bday has come and gone. Duncan is also graduating this coming friday! I am so proud of him, he has worked so hard. As you can see I am still goin strong in school. I have past my year mark...it's crazy to think that it's already been a year! Our two year mark for being married is just around the corner and that is nuts. My brother is gettin married a week after I get back from Hawaii! I am so happy for him.
Dunc and I have been house huntin, and let me tell you what I AM GONIG CRAzy.....the ups and downs of huntin, it completely sucks. We haven't found anything and probably will stop lookin for a while...but we will keep you posted....

I dont what it is but it seems that MEN in general like to play jokes on their wives....OR they just like to have "reactions out of them." Well me being very believe-able my husband has taken FULL advantage. Ever since we have gotten married Dunc just likes to either make fun of me play little tricks on me ALL BECAUSE HE WANTS A REACTION....man sometimes I get so mad at him. I still love the kid but man oh man I wanted to punch him!

Well the reason for this post is yesterday Dunc (while we were hangin out) tells me "Have you heard were Natalie and Clint (Sister and Brother) are moving to? cause he got a job, you might be a little jealous." I said no, he then tells me to guess. I start saying, "California, Hawaii..." NOPE he says. They are moving to ORLANDO, Dunc tells me it was on Clint's facebook page. I WAS SO JEALOUS! I told Duncan I am going to have to visit Natalie and maybe Disneyworld. Then he gets this little smirk, as I was about to call Natalie....I looked at him and knew EXACTLY what he had just done. And he starts laughin.....AND TODAY I get an email from him saying, " I can't get Hawaii off" I write back saying why are you asking now? You should of asked for it off a LONG time ago...." But in the back of my mind I thought he is just pulling my leg. And needless to says friends HE WAS!

Well time just comes and goes does it? We are so busy and sometimes Dunc and I dont even get time to breath. Work has been very stressful but it has been good to have job. I am just grateful that I have employment. Duncan is just rockin away at school! He has only 64 days and counting until he GRADUATES! It's so exciting. He works so hard for us I am so proud of him. But with him graduateing only means that there is 65 days until HAWAII!!!!

We had a great valentines day weekend, it all started off with the cutie bringing me flowers...GIRLS I didn't have to give him a hint this time he did it all on his own. It was wonderful. On the day of hearts we went to go and get stuff to make a yummy dinner and the unthinkable happened. Yes Duncan's car would not start. We were pretty much stuck at smith's parking lot. But Dunc's dad was sweet enough to come and bail us out. Luckily what was wrong with the car was expensive at all. I just want to write and let everyone know that I have the best husband in the world. I just love him to pieces. Love you CUTIE bOY!

Duncan and I have been working out alot to get ready for out Hawaii trip! (95 days y'all) we are so very excited....I have purchased what is called "ChaLEAN Extreme" Which is killer! I have told you about "Turbo Jam" well the lady who does those videos also does this video set. It's very comparable to "P90X" Which is our next purchase.....

Anywho yesterday I had the day off, and was able to get my workout in for the day. So Duncan came home from work and began to workout. The video pretty much speaks for itself. (Sorry for all the booty shackin, if you know Duncan very well I think you will all crack up laughing!)

The Count Down BEGINS! 110 DAYS!

I hope everyone had a great Christmas and New year! We certainly had lots of fun family time. A quick update, Duncan's Grandma passed away which was very hard on me and his family. She went very peacefully which was very nice. We will all miss you Grandma Higgins.

Duncan just started his FINAL SEMESTER OF SCHOOL! He is graduating this spring and I am so proud of the cutie for working so hard. I am transfering do a different office for work. It's bittersweet but it will be for the best for my family and schedule. I am way excited for the new adventures in that office, but will miss greatly the people from my old office.

As part of Dunc's graduation gift we decided instead of going to Disneyland ( TEAR TEAr funny thing we almost went to Disneyland over New Year's eve...random I know! But we almost went) we decided that we would do another adventure. Most likely our last adventure before the Little Duncan's and Dunckina's come.

Duncan has never been there and it's just an amazing place! I am very excited to go back to my "other home" well I guess I should say that Disneyland is my other home, but hey this is my "other, other" home. LOL

There will be lots of sun bathing, seeing the temple and just having great time with one another. This will be our celebration for our 2 year anniversary as well, even we are not going on our anniversary. We are so excited!!! Thanks Duncan for graduating so we can go on this trip!!!

Is it that time of year ALREADY??? I cannot believe Christmas is pretty much on FRIDAY!! That is nuts! I finally got all my Christmas shopping done for the season, and had WAY TO MUCH fun shopping for the cutie boy. This year will be our first REAL CHRISTMAS TOGETHER!!!

Last year Dunc had to work, I got stuck in the snow that crazy christmas night had to have my dad come and bail me out. The year before that Dunc and I were dating he went up to Canada...it's was so hard. But I am so excited to have our first real Christmas together.

I just wanted to let everyone know how much I love this time of year but more importantly what it truely represents to me. My Savior. He lived so I can have an example to follow, he died so I can be like him. I know that he lives, I know that he loves me, I know that the book of mormon is true because I have prayed about it and have received my own personal testimony of it. I know that without my savior I would not be able to make it back to my heavenly father. At times I feel far away from my Heavenly Father, but I know that he is ALWAYS there for me even when I think I am alone.

I love my dear husband with all my heart, we actually were talking the other day and it seems that life has kinda got a little down for us which is normal. But I know that I will always love him and things are only going to go up from here. I will always remember that day when I was sealed to him for time and all eternity, I know that we were supposed to be together. It's funny to think because when were talking about getting married 2 years ago, it was like no big deal for us. It was like "So hey should we get married?" and we were like "Ya" ha ha, but I will always remember the day when I knew that I would be with Duncan the rest of my life. When I knew that he was the one that was going to help me get to the celestial kingdom. I love you Duncan!!!

The Stress of Living In two places at once & Elder Carlson

Elder Blake Carlson has left, he is there right now at the MTC. What a wonderful experience it has been. I just hope he is adjusting well, and all will go smoothly for him. I am very proud of my little bro for going on a mission. He will be GREAT!!!

Now the ugly news, as many of you know we have had the great opportunity to live a home while a older couple went on their mission. AWESOME, you would think but it was actually HORRIBLE! I will never EVER EVER EVER recommend this for ANYONE. If you are not married and think this is the route for you. Please pray about it! SERIOUSLY. I dont think we did as a couple before we made the rash decision to move into this home.

We have learned alot about ourselves about people and how to take care of a home and yard which we are very grateful. But the backlash that we have received has not been so pleasant. Duncan and I worked really hard in this home and tried are very best and all we really received was negativity and we were not doing a good job. We had spies in the ward, I was asked one Sunday from one of the Relief Society Presidency if I was a new to the ward when I had been there over a year.

From this I have learned how Satan can play with our emotions our hearts. Can I forgive them for the treatment we received in the home. Certainly. Will it take sometime yes. My heart knows what is right cause I know that the only way that I can feel my love from my heavenly is when I am humble. I will admit it right now I am feeling very prideful and want to say a few choice words back. But I know that is not what Heavenly father wants me to do. I have noticed that since feeling this way, my distance from my Heavenly Father has been great. Shame on me. What a better gift then full communication with my Heavenly Father who can really help me during my anxiety attacks. How grateful I am for him and the constant love he has for me and the success that couple missionary. Cause they are doing good work and are good people. The working relationship that we had was not the best.

So there I gave my two bits....I feel alot better now.

Well my little bro is about to leave us for his mission. Yesterday was his farewell which went very well. I enjoyed good food and GREAT company!!!!! We also had out annual gift exchange this year since before Blake left on his Mission this week. Natalie made me this very very cute purse that I am loving and getting many compliments on. Thanks nat!!!

So since it was such a nice day yesterday, easy to somewhat relax of course something funny happened to Duncan and I....OF COURSE!

I had forgotten some "change of clothes" to get out of my sunday clothes after the meeting. So I was able to borrow some clothing from my family. Well it was time for us to go home....and it snowed....it snowed bad. We leave on a hill and it's a big hill. So Dunc and I try to start driving up this hill. Yep could not get up the hill. Come to find out the "icer" or whatever you want to call it on the plow broke and our poor landlords were having to hand "ice" this crazy hill. But needless to say Duncan and I had to park our car and walk up this very ICY hill...and the kicker is this.....

I WAS WEARING HEELS!!! I think I was gripping Duncan so hard....I was pretty much just slidding up this hill while Duncan was pushing me up.....it's hilairous to think about now... We were just laughing, when the situation could of been very stressfull.

LOL So Duncan had to drive me down to my car this morning so I could get into it. Thank goodness it did not snow even more! YAY!

To my Squeak the Geek....

I came home today from Beauty school to find out that my dear sweet kitten past on. Now Squeak when he was little like to meow ALOT....I would have him sleep with me and that is all he would ever do! So that is how he got his name. Squeak had a little white gotee (spell) and crossed eyes. My mom says that he fit my "goofy" personality. I love him so much. He would always sleep next to me in my bed growing up, keep me warm, he knew when I was sick or sad. I am such a bad owner because there was a moment when I was holding him and he jumped/fell out of my hands and poor thing broke his leg. I remember he was having to walk on it cause we were not sure if he did or not. I had went to dance camp and pleaded with my parental units to take him to the vet. Being the great parents that they are, did. I had broken his leg.....He had a nice huge pin sticking out of his leg for some time. But in NO TIME he was squeaker again. Squeaker also like to run into bumpers. I dont know if it was his crossed eyes or his reflection, but he was certainly very attracted to himself or something cause he kept running into that car bumper. Squeaker is also not the cat with 9 lives, more like a cat that had 100 lives. He was hit by a car, lived......got into SO many cat fights that we thought his injuries were going to kill him...nope still lived. There towards the end we thought he had was sick with something..... nope, he did not want to leave us. But sadly tonight my dear kitten that I had gotten in 7th grade left our family. He was a good/goofy cat. And we all sure loved him....

Gettin Fit.... Just a little Bit!!!

Oh my quest of my maintain-ing, and not gaining I would say it has been interesting. I have been wanting to eat everything in my path. I have been having cravings that I have not had before. Well I have, but not for a long time.....And no people, I am not pregnant. So here are some tips I am going to share with you with food substitutions and exercise....;-)

If you are wanting Heavy Cream use: Evaporated skim milk or evaporated whole milk (undiluted)

If you are wanting Baking chocolate use: Cocoa powder (3 tablspoons) w/ vegetable oil ( 1 tablespoon)

If you are wanting to margarine or butter base frosting use: Marshmallow creme

If you are wanting to use oil in baking-light colored cakes and muffins use: Applesauce or fruit puree in equal amounts.
Now there are TONS of substitutions for food, and these are just a few!!!

Exercise baby!

First off it's been said over and over you need to "Find out what kind and how much physical activity you need."
How do you do it? It's is totally your choice. I like to find activities that are easy and fun but more important- something that I can do and not kill myself. I try to do physical activities for at least 30 minutes at a time. But hey maybe only 10 is good for you right now, and that is great. Just increase as you go, because you continue to do it at only 10 minutes a day, honestly you wont see those results that you are looking for. We all need to increase physical activity and limit those yummy fatty foods. Sounds easy IT's NOT! I know!
Why should you be physically active?
"Physical activity can make you feel stronger and more alive. It is a fun way to be with your family or friends. It also helps you improve your health."
Start maybe working out 3 days a week do that for a month, and gradually increase your numbers! You CAN DO IT!
That is how you are going to be able to build your physical activity, it's by increasing and trying a little more a day. But do it at your pace...something that makes you feel comfortable.
Now that we can be more active in our lives, how do we tell which activities are moderate level or the vigorous level?....well dont worry I got you covered!!!!
Moderate Actitives
Meaning: I can talk while I do them, but I cant sing.
Ballroom and line dancing, Biking on level ground or a few hills, Canoeing, General gardening (raking, trimming shrubs), Sports where you catch and throw (baseball, softball, volleyball), Tennis, Walking briskly, Water aerobics and any low moderate workout video (pilates, strength training)
Vigorous Activities
Meaning: I can only say a few words without stopping to catch my breath.
Aerobic Dance, Biking faster than 10 miles per hour, fast dancing, hiking uphill, jumping rope, Martial arts, Race walking, jogging or running, Sports with a lot of running (basketball, hockey, soccer) swimming fast or swimming laps, tennis
and there are great classes at the local gyms....like BODY COMBAT, BODY ATTACK, BODY PUMP, TOTAL BODY CONDITIONING. Also Tae bo & Turbo Jam are KILLER workouts and super fun!
Start today and decide that you are going to make a lifestyle change, not start a diet, but a LIFESTYLE!!!!

Well they did it!!!!! And the question is did I actually watch the game? Mmmmmmm....nope. How could I? I have major panic attacks watching any "special sporting" event. I surprised that I could watch the Real soccer game. But I am very excited to go to work on Monday wearing my BYU gear, well Dunc's, I dont have any anymore. But GO COUGS!!!!!! I can be a BYU fan again, you did not let me down. Please dont do it again!!!!

THE MLS CUP!!!!!!
REAL SALT LAKE ARE THE CHAMPS BABY!!!
So now I am going to blurb a little bit about Utah sports, and how much this means to me as a fan of a Utah Sport.
BYU, Utah Jazz.....disappoint...seriously think about it, Okay if you are Utah fan there is different story BUT Still you didnt get the right media support even after they did very well. But for me as a BYU fan and Jazz fan I have not had any real success. Does that make sense? Utah Jazz they have been to the NBA Finals, but didn't take home the big award. BYU especially now have not really hacked it. Although there record is very good, being a Utah team you have to be perfect in order to be considered for a BCS bowl WHICH IS LAME I THINK. Let's go to playoff's people...every other sport is doing it ! Stupid BCS.
But Real Salt Lake did it. I knew they had the talent, I knew that they could do it ( just like the Jazz but they seem to not care about winning at all, or pull through) Real did not crack under pressure (like max Hall likes to do in very important games)
I just appreciate that Real brought something home for the State of Utah. We have the talent, and they believed in each other that they could do it! GO REAL!!! WAH-WHOOOOOO!!!!!

Honey!!! PLEASE WAKE UP!

Yesterday, I was so proud of myself for getting up and moving, to get to work ON TIME. (I work in the morning at 6:00 or 6:30 am...if I am at work by 6:00 I get an hour lunch, or 6:30 and 30 minute lunch) I was trying to get to work at 6:00 am. My work lets us have an extra 30 minutes three days a week to go and work out. So I usually use my hour lunch and extra 30 minutes to go and work out at the gym. Which was my plan this fine morning.

I get all my stuff pulled together, get my breakfast, grab my gym bag, lock the door behind me and shut the door......Da, dum da dum......Silly me I forgot something. I had forgotten my keys to my car. Luckily for me Dunc was still upstairs still sleeping. I thought "he would be able to totally hear me!" Nope people...Dunc sleeps like a LOG I found out! I start calling him over and over again-No answer-

So I start knocking on the door, trying not to wake my new neighbors, still no answer. I then start banging and ringing the door bell. I did this for like 10-15 minutes. My neighbor came out not because I was knocking so loudly, but because he had to go to work. Phew!

I was starting to get to SO frustrated cause I could of been to work by now and ON TIME, but here I was locked out of my house......I finally, out of an act of desperation, starting just knocking on the door so that EVERYONE could hear me. Duncan FINALLY answered the phone said that he would be down....and luckily so did my neighbor's wife...who was not to happy!

Now isn't that a great way to start your day???

Okay Y'all.....what are you willing to work for? How long will it take you? Are you going to start today? YES!!!

As the "feasting" holiday season is just around the corner it made me think of how hard I have worked to get were I am with my weight loss and what not. I have fallen off the ban-wagon it's true. It's been so hard with work, school and giving all my loving attention to my dear sweet husband...."The Cutie." I was looking online one day and came across something that I thought would be easy to do and yet very affective during the this crazy holiday season. It's called

"MAINTAiN Don't GAIN!"

It is something that my work/healthy utah is promoting. I wanted to share this with you.

The Maintain Dont Gain instructions is about being healthy and happy during the holiday season. The challenge combines practical nutrition and weight management information with tips and tool to help. Since not everyone has access to this, I will be posting the information that I receive here on my blog. As well as other things OF COURSE!

I have PDF form that you can print off to help you track everything. You earn points daily being active, making over one of your favorite meals to a healthier version, or make up goals for your self. All that they ask is try to eat breakfast everyday and try to work out 2 1/2 hours per week! That is only 4 days week!

It's just being healthy making healthy choices! If you want the PDF form (I can try converting it to word) leave me a comment with your email!

Although I could not watch the game...(to nervous) my dear husband went nuts! I am surprised that the neighbors did not come over. But THEY ARE GOING to the MSL FINALS! WAH-WHO! THat's my boys. At least we have ONE Utah team that is not disappointment! (meaning BYU...come guys!) Anywho go REAL!

Well Dunc and I are moving!!! YAY! It has been an adventure that is for sure. We are loving our new place, thanks to Hobby Lobby, Walmart, Target, Roberts & My family and Dixie (with yummy scentsy) Our little new home is so cute! Yes, I even have the Christmas tree up! Why not put it up is what I thinking instead of putting it away and then getting it out again. With this I have been in a very "christmas-y" mood. I love decorating for Christmas...it's so fun.
School is going great I have finally gotten past the "freshmen" stage...that is a big step. Duncan is going strong with school!
And of-course, I have another new-due....I cut my hair really short. (well short for me.) These are some pictures that Dunc and I were just posin' for. Also the very bottom pic is from school on Halloween....ENJOY!!!

Dunc and I are starting a tradition that we will have a Halloween party at our place from now on. It was really fun, Duncan and all of his friends with their women came it was awesome. While in Beauty school I did an advance nail class....which was so much fuN! I loved it so much. I am actually going to start doing them now, I love the creativity that I can use when doing nails. It is been so fun being able to do some fall things like candy corns, brown tones and everything I love it!

We are moving!!!! It is about time is all I got to say. We have found a very nice Townhouse. I am very excited. We live in a home right now where a couple is out on a mission. It has certainly been a life learning experience. We feel very blessed to be able to find the things that we have but are ready to move on from this house. I ACTUALLY GET TO DECORATE MY HOME THE WAY I WANT IT!!!
We went to IKEA this past weekend, and spent way to much money. But we realized that we did not need to do that when we first got married. But now that we are moving we actually needed some things.
I am very excited to move on...but not ready to do the ACTUAL MOVE. YUCK!

The TWILIGHT CRAZE/ HALLOWEEN TIME

Before I begin my ranting and raving....I first wanted to give the update with hair school! It's going just great! I just colored my hair for the fall time. I am almost finished with my advance nail class. (taking clients if you love NAILS!) I love it! LOTS and LOTS OF WORK!!!!

I said to myself, I never like to "imagine how I would die." Yet read a book or watch a movie about vampires and a crazy love story about such a thing. But Here I am OBSESSED!! (which I am not talking about a lame movie the Beyonce did.)

Yes it's true, I CAVED in! What can I say? I went to a corn maze that was based on the new movie coming out and I was curious. "What WAS all this Hipe about "TWILIGHT" anyway??"
So the "Cuncan," (aka The Dunk man, The cutie and Duncan.) and I rented the movie LAST week. I will fully admit that I liked the movie. Well I should not say just liked...but watched it, and watched it and WATCHED IT! I was hooked. AND THAT WAS THE MOVIE. Someone once told me that the movied SUCKED compared to the book. So I was like, if I like this movie that much....then I BETTER read the book. Well it was perfect, I got pretty sick this past week and I got the books. I READ THE FIRST BOOK IN LIKE A DAY! LOVE IT! And now I on the second book now. I am not sure what "team" I am on as of right now. But the war is on between my husband and I. (Duncan is team Jacob, just cause he didn't like Edward Bella in the woods. BUT HEY that's only at the beginning of the book MAN!I am on team EDWARD right now.)
Anywho-for all of you TWILIGHT FANS....I have fully committed myself to the dark side, or whatever you want to say. I have found the books SO FAR are very enjoyable!!!!!

I love Halloween time, it's one of my favorite times of the year. I just cannot believe how time flies!!!! We are going to be moving out of our house here in a few months! it's CRAZY....
Have you ever been to Disneyland during Halloween time? OH IT's A MUST!! And Utah is GORGEOUS during this month. The colors are changing the weather is NOT too cold yet but certainly cooler. I love it. I put my Halloween decor up like a week ago. THATS HOW MUCH I LOVE IT! I am still trying to figure out what Dunc and I will for Halloween.... ANY IDEAS would be greatly helpful!!!

Disneyland Pictures & ORANGE FACE DUNCAN

Okay first off....DISNEYLAND was AMAZING! So much fun! Pictures below will just show you how fun it was...but this very first picture is of Duncan, do you notice how Duncan kinda a ORANGE face??? Yes he does...He is going to kill me but it's so HILARIOUS! I could not, NOT post this very silly little story....so here it goes.

Duncan and I while in California last week went to the Santa Monica peir and got FRIEd! I was so red and sore and poor Duncan Donuts boy is was a fried little tomato....So we get home and to our amazement we start to peel. SHOCKING I know...anywho, Duncan had an important event last night that he did not want to have his face be peeling infront of some important people. So I told my sweetheart that I had some face moisturizer (spell) in my bathroom and that he could use it. So he did. I get home from school last night saw my cutie sitting in our TV room watching tv, I get a little closer and thought to myself....Man his face looks orange? But I didn't think anything of it cause we got burnt really bad so it just looked really tan, so I thought it could be the lighting in our room. Well I go into my bathroom and see that my moisturizer (spell) was still in my bathroom??? And usually Duncan doesn't like to put things away most of the time (I dont either it's a bad trait that we both need to work on) and so I asked him, "Honey what lotion did you use on your face?" He says, " The one you told me to use?" and I say, "Which was that??"

He proceeds to bring in the "lotion I told him to use...." Which was Jergen's NATURAL GLOW...which had self tanners in it!!! LOL LOL LOL, NO WONDER his face looked so ORANGE. I laughed SO HARD! I asked him, "Honey do you know what this was?" and he said " The lotion you told me to use. I have been using it and putting it on my face every 2 hours today." I told him that his face was orange, and asked him if he could tell? He said that he thought he was just tanner cause of his burn....It says right on the bottle, " helps enhance color."

I thought it was such a guy thing!

Yes it's true, Disneyland is this weekend. I am so excited! But what kind of a blogger would I be if I just posted every single "blog posting" about Disneyland. So this post is my excitment PLUS my new obsession. TuRBo JaM!!!!!

First back to Disneyland:

Top 10 reason why I love it so much that it makes me kinda retarted in a nerdy way:

10: I love that fact that all there rides have music playing to them

9: I love to buy Mickey Mouse shirts everytime I go there

8: I dont have to buy other "merchandise" there anymore cause I pretty much have everything I need to have from Disneyland, So I just take pictures for my gifts

7: I love the parades and how it makes everything in the world seem thats so stressful....just go away

6: I love Indiana Jones and Disney World DOESN'T HAVE INDIANA JONES!

5: I love learning new "neat-o fact-o's" about Disneyland.

-Did you know there are hidden Mickey's in all the rides!

4: I love that I can run, skip, sing down main street and everyone thinks it's completely normal

3 1/2: I LOVE the BLUE BAYOU (resturant in the Pirates ride) YUMMY!

It Kicks my butt, I love it! It's so fun, It really works your abs, arms, butt, you name it! It works it!

And it's acutally really fun, I enjoy doing the movies and have not gotten bored with them YET....everyone should try it!

Weight Watchers Round 3049......

With School, Work and just a busy life in general I feel that I have gotten off the ban-wagon of weight goals for myself.
I dont think I am fat but ever since my senior year of high school I have always gotten scared of going back to my weight that I was that year and the year after I graduated. (scary dont want to know!)
Weight Watchers I feel has always kept my "on track," but it's hard to keep paying for it. It's hard to go to the meetings all the time. But I know it helps me. I am going to start up again. (after I go to Disneyland of course) but what is keeping from reaching my goals with my weight is FOOD! It's a kicker....like today I was craving fries like HARD CORE, and if any of you know me, you know that I LOVE FRIES. So I went and got fries with chicken nuggets, and the next thing you know is that I had ate 21 POINTS! (weight watchers terminology) I am supposed to get 22 points in one day. THATS A RED FLAG TO ME! My pants are getting tighter, which got me thinking....did that food make me really happy? No.
I am very excited for this next adventure of weight watcher-ness....anyone who wants to join let me know!!!

You would want to say that it's me huh? NOPE it's not....

I dont think mister Duncan would and will admit that he is kinda baby hungry...but I feel that he is. Last week a bunch of Dunc's friends got together at our house to have a "get together," and one of his friends has a cute baby girl that is to die for. So stinkin' cute. While I was getting everything going for the party/fondu party.... Duncan would just go crazy over this baby, he was playing with her, being very cute with her. I was kinda suprised cause you would think that the girls would be going crazy over a cute little thing like her. Well I wasn't and Chelsea (the other girl that was there) wasn't, and Shaylee (who is mom) was having a good time with having a little break from having to take care of her little child. Duncan was keeping her entertained. We always talk about baby names cause it's something fun to talk about right? Duncan talks about them ALL THE TIME! It's so cute....Just last night he found two more boys names that he really likes. And he is talking about having a family in like a year...it's kinda crazy. He is silly. LOVE YOU DUNCAN! You are silly

Have you ever heard of BLING STRANDS? oh my goodness if you haven't you are in for a HUGE treat!......I love them too much! As many of already know I am in hair school, and with hair school comes lots of different things with "experimenting w/ color, cuts and what not. Bling Strands look like they are tinsel, but the great thing about them is that you can curl, wash your hair and style with them. They are single little extensions that you add to hair and to help a little splash of color for those who dont really want to color your hair a crazy color. They stay up to 2-3 weeks and longer if you take care of them. (I had some stay in for about 2 months and then I took them out lol!)

You can add them to any hair style...I love this girl's hair that is pink...if I had the guts I would totally go for this hair style...it's too fun!

You can put them in any up-do....I am going to start putting them in my sisters hair and matching her school dance dresses.
Or maybe just putting in little amounts just to add an accent of "bling" to your hair. ....

I discovered these while I was at Mindy Mae's Market NOT AT A SALON, (of all the places I find them at a little craft show) and was hooked and wanted to become a seller of these amazing things..or offer them to put into people's hair for like $1 a strand. And finally I am in the process of doing just that! But I wanted to share with you one of my favorite finds!!!

Many of you know, that I like Disney. But I LOVE LOVE DISNEYLAND. I am a nerd about it! If I could go to Disneyland on every vacation I would. (Duncan doesn't like that but he understands me! He is great) in the past 2 years I have gone to Disneyland three times, and this will be my 4 time going.

This time My Mom, Dad, Kenzie, Mason, Josh, Carolyn, Blake, Duncan and Myself are going HOW FUN IS THAT GOING TO BE!?!?!?!?!

I am very sad that my older sister and her husband are un-able to make it. Dang-it all school!

But Just know Natalie: I will be screaming my guts out on Indiana Jones, and singing really loud "Yo-ho, Yo-ho a Pirates Life for me!"

Our Little Update Again!

Well Dunc and I are doing GREAT! As usually we are very busy. School, work, what else is there? Not much has really been happening other than that. Well I guess I have started up reading Harry Potter and that is pretty exciting. Duncan is on the third book ALREADY!

Duncan ran his first marathon on the 24th of July. (Pictures will come I promise) I am so proud of him. He said it was the hardest thing that he had ever done, and doesn't plan on doing that anytime soon. (whatever he will be back out there I PROMISE YOU THAT!)

We have had lots of fun of trying to stay healthy and very active.

One thing that I am was pretty excited for was (and this might be lame to you-oh-well) I GOT NEW SWIMMING SUITS! They are so so so so cute! (Hence the reason for the pictures!) Oh I just love them too much! I got them from modbe.....

And another thing that has been catching my eye....is BLING...have you ever heard of Bling Stands? They these little strands that look like tinsel but you can put them in your hair. But you can totally wash your hair with them, curl with them, straighten your hair! It's amazing! They are going to be so cute to put into girls hair for dances and what not. I will get pictures and will have to show you all. My little sister goes nUts for them!

Well Disneyland is less then a month and I cant wait, I have been getting into the spirit of the "disney bliss" Can you believe it that in the past 2 1/2 years I have been to disneyland (this will be ) 4 TIMES! I hope this tells you that I am kinda obsessed. I love learning about all the "secret mickeys" within the rides. Finding out that the Disneyland company is completely changing California Adventure and adding a CARS LAND! How cool is that? But I loved this little video that I found on you tube. It's pretty cute.

GIRLS CAMP!!! AND 4th of july....long over due

This is a picture of Duncan and I at the layton parade on the 4th. We went and did lots of fun stuff with his family on the 4th of July. The layton fireworks were so amazing.....

Girls Camp has come and gone, and I had a lot of amazing experiences this year. I have had a lot on my mind lately and just feeling that something was missing in my life. I realized at girls camp that I was leaving my heavenly father out. I know that the church is true, and I will never ever deny that. But sometimes life can get a hold of you and you loose focus on why you are really here. How I love scriptures and the simple but tender mercies that my heavenly father has given me. I know that he lives and knows me inside out. I know that Heavenly father knew I needed women in my life, but he knew that I needed YOUNG Women. I am so blessed to have an amazing husband who loves and supports me in all that I do. I know that I say this alot, but I truely, deeply love Duncan he is my best friend and I dont know what this life would be like without him. I know that we were supposed to be married so we can help eachother reach that goal of celestial life and be all that we can be! I love this gospel it just makes me so happy!

We took the girls on a "treasure hunt" which each of the clues was a value. I got to tie everything together at the end. The YW's president told me to talk anything...I told them the ultimate treasure is knowledge of this gospel and our testimony, and with each of the values helps us "become like him."

Is this the right room??

Well.....this past weekend was a real adventure, as you can see with the pictures below we went to Park City and Melting Pot and such.

But the real adventure was trying to find the condo that we were staying at. Not only did we did have pretty vague instructions on how to get there. But we didn't even know the condo number. All we knew was that it was on the third floor in the building across for the clubhouse.

Soooooo, we get to the right place.....we found the condo's. WE HAD MADE IT...

We started walking up into the building "P" and was praying that we had the right place. We go up to the third floor. When we go there we saw that there were 4 DOORS. So Dunc and I were like, what one is our room? So we started putting the key into all the doors, and 1 fit, P 304. We went into the room, thinking that we had found our place to stay. However Duncan didn't think it really was. I was like, "Duncan the key opened the door? This has to be our room." So Duncan started going through some of the drawers to see if we could find a name that we recognized. Oh we found one, but it wasn't the name that we knew. So It then got me thinking I dont think this is the room we are supposed to be in. Luckily we had a number to call. I asked the lady what room we should be staying at....oh yes she said P 303. Duncan and I jetted out of that room so fast. And then we couldn't even lock the door. We just laughed and laughed and could not believe that we were in someone else's condo, going through someone's things. And then it turned out that we were not supposed to be there. We went to our room and the key opened that room after a while trying.

What an adventure. We will never forget going into someone else's room.

Anniversary in Park City & Melting Pot

Duncan had a wonderful weekend....it was our 1 year anniversary. We went to the Melting Pot, and spent a night in Park City. The first picture is Duncan with out cake from our wedding....we are not sure if we want to eat it. I will admit I was kinda scared...so we just stared at it.

1 Year Anniversary JUNE 12!!!

What a better way to celebrate this being my 100th post on my own personal blog then to share with you my love of my best friend. Mister Cuncan Shelley (aka Duncan, little dunc, and dunc) Our year anniversary is this coming friday, and I cannot believe how fast time has flown. I remember freaking out the night before, worrying about if everything was going to go smoothly. The Dutch Oven dinner that we had, the day itself was FREEZING! And it was in JUNE...so I was worried about if it even might snow on us! lol. JK. Then the day finally came, MY WEDDING DAY!!!! I woke up in a very calm mood, suprisingly. I went and got my hair done, and just couldn't believe that my day had come, the day that I was getting married. I mean you dream about this your whole life and then BOOM it's here! Well, I got ready and got all my things together (thanks to the help of my mommy) and we started the LONG drive up to the Bountiful temple. I still wasn't nervous at all....But Duncan was....he kept texting me and was making sure I wasn't "going to leave him at the alter." Silly boy...I made sure that he knew that I was coming...then we starting driving up a huge hill just before you get to the Temple....The nerves kicked IN!.....but it wasn't until I saw my cutie, standing outside the temple waiting for me. In his suit, holding his tux. I knew I was doing the right thing. I was truely marrying my one and only love, my best friend, my eternal companion, the one that was going to help return back to the celestial kingdom. I got out of the car and give him a big hug. We walked into the temple and were greeted with warm, smiles. Then it was time for us to part our different ways and get ready. I had the wonderful opportunity to have both of my moms help my in the bridals room. (my mom, and dunc's mom) it was GORGEOUS! INCREDIABLE! Then I went downstairs and saw my sweetheart, the temple worker showed us to the celestial room, where we were able to sit there until our sealing. I started to cry, and pretty much couldn't stop until the cermony was done. We just sat there holding eachother, and in "awwwwing" moment it was time....we walked down were Bro Rigby (our sealer) gave some words of wisdom to us. We saw all our familes in the sealing room, the spirit just went "vrooooommm...." all over me. I saw my two papa's in front of my just smiling. Then it began........Then it was done. What I do remember is how it felt kneeling over the alter watching Duncan's SCARED face looking at Brother Rigby, and I being completely and utterly happy. I will never ever forget that feeling. The past year has be wonderful. I married the best guy in the world, someone who loves me for me, and someone who treats me like a princess. I LOVE YOU DUNCAN!

On Memorial Day Duncan, Blake and I ran a race in Syracuse.(Blake and Duncan 1/2 Marathon me 5k) It was so much fun.....Duncan and Blake came 2nd in their age groups which is AWESOME!!! GREAT JOB BOYS ! Sure luv ya!
I did a personal best....I got 1 minute better then I did last time! GO ME! ha ha ha

Why Hello there my fellow bloggers.....Where does the time go? I swear I updated this not to long ago and here it is, it's been over a month. Well I have been playing way to hard and loving life. Beauty School is AWESOME...I am finally on the floor and taking clients sooooo if you want your hair done let me know! I would love to do it! I did my sweet cousin's nails last night and here is a picture of what they looked like. I still have lots of things to work on with nails but it's coming very nicely and I really enjoy doing them (Thanks Denise for letting me practice on you)

Duncan and I one night decided instead of going to a gorment burger place that we would make our own amazing burgers. Here is a picture of Dunc's burger. We are calling them "stuffed burgers." What we did was exactly what it sounds like we stuffed our burgers either hot peppers and cheese. Not diet friendly at all but very very yummy.

Duncan and I are coming up on our 1 YEAR ANNIVERSARY! I can't believe it! We are planning on going to the Melting Pot and Park city, We are very excited and cant believe we are at the one year mark already. I guess we really can stand and live with eachother. No kids yet though but certainly in the future.

Where have I been?

So did any of you watch the show "Extreme Home Makeover" this past Sunday? About the family who's dad was pretty much dying and then eventually DID DIE like three days AFTER they got into the house! HOLY CRAP, I totally cried my head off! I couldn't help it! It was SO SO SO SO sad, all I could think about was losing my cutie, Duncan, and how devastating that would be to me. I dont know if I could of handled it. So Duncan, this should just prove that I love you A LOT silly boy.

Anywho- HEY WHAT's UP! You have probably been wondering where I have been huh? And if you didn't...you should of! LOL just kidding. No Life is GREAT! I am so loving it, Hair school is FANTASTIC! I did my first hair cut on a Model (dunc's little sis Jess), I cut a line cut which was called "a Round line." Do you remember her hair (the picture where it was CRAZY curly) yea, it was very difficult because not only was it CRAZY curly but it was SUPER DUPER course and thick! WOW, it was a good first hair cut I think to push my limits a little. I have fallen in love with doing hair cuts and ayrilic nails (spell)....(my first FULL set is this saturday for my mommy.) But last night was the kicker...I was practicing Brow/ Eye lash tinting at school. When I was working on my Friend eye lashes and Brow Tint. I dont what exactly happened but I dropped the little stick that I was using to put the dye on, ON HER HAIR. Oh it gets worse the DYE WAS BLACK AND HER HAIR WAS BLONDE! I felt so bad and stupid. Why wasn't I careful? Needless to say thank goodness for Dye, because we were able to fix it and she was happy and not mad at me. I think I sad "I am sorry" a million times and I will continue to say I am sorry. But I figured this: that it was my first mistake. Hopefully there will be not to many more.

Well Easter has come and gone, and Dunc and I had a great time having Easter with our famlies. We are just wanting this weather to start to get warmer..... Are any of you SICK OF THIS WEATHER?!?!?!

Duncan and I just hit out 10 month mark of being married.....Life is crazy how fast time has flown. IT's ALMOST BEEN A YEAR! CRAZY! Duncan is planning something nice over the anniversary up in Park city what we are doing I dont know, should I be scared? Yes I should! LOL Just Kidding. We are also planning a trip to Hawaii over Christmas and cant wait...so please keep your eyes, ears open for great deals and let me know!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY DUNCAN!

"DUNCAN HAD A BIRTHDAY SHOUT WHO-RAY! WE ALL SANG TO HIM ON THAT DAY... ONE DAY OLDER AND WISER TOO, HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU!"

Duncan turned 23 years old on the 20th, I had a big scavenger hunt and suprise party all planned out for him. I couldn't post anything on here because Duncan likes to look at the updates on here. When he arrived home I had the house decorated....
To "kill" some time before we needed to leave to begin the scavenger hunt I thought that we would have a little picnic out in our back yard, it was such a beautiful day. I gave him a game of the office that he liked and he also got a IPOD touch...that he is loving!
But after eating and resting a little bit, I started the scavenger hunt that he had not idea about....the first stop was his parents house!

In order to get his next clue he had to walk the dog, this is a picture of him and his little brother walking the dog together. We then went to his friends house (Cory) and Cory's mom blind folded him and made Duncan do certain things to earn his clue. IT WAS SO FUNNY!!!

We then went to Northridge where duncan went to school, (I made Duncan this sign that said: "Hi my name is Duncan and I am the King for the day because it's my birthday!" ) He got a crown that he had to wear and the next clue which was to my moms house.
At my mom's house she had messed up the blankets REALLY REALLY GOOD. (Duncan and I spent some time behind the couch trying to have some "alone" time. Awe....the memories LOL!) Duncan needed to fold all those blankets up to get his next clue. Which lead us to where we got married (the Bountiful Temple) we didn't actually make it all the way there because of the time so we went home for a little bit, and Duncan thought that was it that there was no more "hunting" Little did he know that ALL OF HIS FRIENDS, FAMILY and MY FAMILY were waiting for HIM at RED ROBIN. Duncan being the frugle guy that he is was just wanting to go to Wendy's or Carl's junior because they were cheaper...but I said NO~
Anyways on our way there he kept saying , " we are going to have to wait long because it's a friday night." I kep throwing him off and never saw the Surprise thing coming!!! It was perfect!!!
We get to the resturant and he was talking to the lady to have our name put down and I just walked right into where everyone was sitting....Duncan was like "what are you doing????!?!?!" And then.............

HE SAW ALL OF HIS FRIENDS AND FAMILY THERE that wished him a HAPPY BIRTHDAY.

I thought what better gift for my cutie then a Party with the people his loves!

Wow! What a week, Life is great and life is CRAZY! Beauty school is lots of fun! I got all my gear, with Manniquin (spell) heads and all that Jazz. I HATE caring them ALL around. Cause I bop from one to building to another building so it's just easier for me to keep EVERYTHING in my car. Is it a pain? you ask? YES! Am I getting extra arm workouts? YES! I went from having NOTHING in my car, to my car now being a DISASTER. Oh a life for a hair student. Allthough I am complaining it is very thrilling. I love it, this past weekend we learned hair color applications, and yesterday we did spa shampooing and styling on eachother...(which made me very excited! I love shampooing!) Today we are going to be learning about nails and Manicure's it's pretty exciting. (not the whole theory part but the "actual doing" of the service is very fun)

And there is an exciting change happening to Fran Brown, it's now going to be called Marienello. (spell) Fran sold the college to a big ta do school from California. Fran will still be the director but not the owner. She would like to retire someday. It's very exciting! ALSO....I am going to a hair show FLORIDA!!! It's called I think the "Premiere" and I get to go to DISNEYWORLD! And live in Hair Bliss! Thats not till June, but I am way excited!!! (Hey Kathy L. Maybe I'll see ya there. hee hee)

Well Duncan and I acutally just past our " 9 MONTHS" mark last week! We went and celebrated at IHOP (because we are on the letter I this month) and had a great time eating and then watching movies at home. We reflected a little about our wedding and what we have enjoyed thus far about it.

Duncan just got an "A" on his accounting test so he is pretty excited! We are both very busy, but loving life!

New Additions to my house!

I just realized that I didn't blog anything about my little birthday party. ....Well my birthday was last week (the 3rd) and the Sunday prior to that I had Duncs fam and my fam come over to my house to celebrate. Dunc's mom and dad got Dunc and I a combined gift (his bday is in a week!!!!) THEY GOT A WII!!! We have loved playing it!!!
I have never posted a pic of my killer car! So this my new Mazada that I have loved so much driving!!!! But not paying payments, but it's worth it!

Okay now here is the post....I have had a little obsession with "interior decorating" lately (I went Ashley Jepperson house which by the way everyone is DARLING! she gives me inspiration!) I have loved going and shopping to find things to make my house cuter. It's hard with the house we are living in because it's not ours, and dont want to put holes in it that are not there. So I haven't had many options with what I can do, but what I have been able to do it's been fun!

These are new block letters that I have bought for St. Patties day VERY CUTE store that I got these from. It's called Whisperwood in Bountiful.

I love doing hair, and I pretty much talk about it ALL THE TIME! These are some of MY FAVORITE hairs do's that I have done on my sister and some of her friends recently. I am way excited to finally start my dream of becoming a beautician.

This is my Sister (Dunc's younger sister) Her name is Jessica she is super cute...What we are doing in this picture was her hair for a homecoming dance. Now Jess's hair is SUPER DUPER curly and SUPER DUPER THICK!!! (so pretty) It took an hour to dry it then another to curl it....this was her first school dance for her and she was a little nervous.

My New OBSESSIONS

CSI- Crime Scene Investigation, Yes I do love watching ALL of these shows, Miami, New York...Blood, Dead Bodies etc....it's very interesting to me. Sick I know..But I have loved mystery shows for a long long time...I would even say that Law and Order is a great one as well...it's on after the Biggest loser which is also another obsession ...There is a new show that is on Called "Lie to Me." That has Duncan and I pretty entertained as well. But I love CSI and Law and Order because some of the situation that they investigate has to do sometimes with my job. It's kinda funny to see how Hollywood displays it, and how "they" think that Child and Family Services system works...maybe it works that way in some states but not in Utah...(When kids come into custody, Foster care...and such) They protray that social workers are this evil thing which is sometimes not the case. But I dont hold that against the shows it's hollywood and they are sometimes not correct...but is makes for a good show.

This show is on the food network, and I watch if faithfully every Sunday and Monday...It's a show that goes around the United States going to Diners....finding what kind of food they are making and all that Jazz....Dunc and I love watching it. They have come to Utah four times...too: Moochies, The Burger Bar in Roy, The Red Iguna, and Pat's. I love it for so many reasons, maybe because the food that they show is something that I could not eat in a million years (cow's tongue etc...) Or stuff that is SO FATTENING thats it's unreal....(TONS of Butter and grease but doens't that make it so much better sometimes??) It's very entertaining to me.......

My creative side....Ill have to post pictures soon....
I love love love to make my own earrings, I dont have to spend lots of money on earrings, and it helps me from not eating....LOL There are so many differents things you can do with earring making and different designs you can come up with. I started doing this a year or so ago when I saw my co-worker making them for Christmas gifts, and I was like HEY I want to do that...so I have started doing it...and now I have at least a 50-60 pairs of earrings and still growing.....

My sporty side obsession:
I LOVE BODY COMBAT!!!! Any of you that goes to Gold's Gym go to this class. I love it because I punch out my stress my frustration and of course all that fat and calories...I go at least three times a week, it kicks my butt but SO WORTH IT.....

Everyone should know by now that I am completely OBSESSED with DISNEYLAND and anything Disney...However I will not DECORATE anything in my house with Disney...but I will go in a heart beat to Disneyland, love Disney music and Disney movies... my other objection is WHAT HAPPENED TO THE DISNEY CHANNEL, like when they played the good old shows like, Gummy Bears, Tale Spin, Kids Incorpated, Mikey Mouse Club....Sad to say that has gone down hill...But Disneyland, whenever I go there I just want hop Skip and sing down main street... I love it so much.

Why is everyone sick??

Everyone at my job is sick, so taking airborne (hoping that it would work) didn't work, I got sick. I got really sick. This simple cold went into my chest (lungs) and then I had a a fever. This stupid cold has lasted for like a week now. Duncan had it and he CAN'T SLEEP when he is sick. Bottom line is I hate being sick. I am sure lots of you feel the same way as I do...The only perks to being sick is you dont have to go to work???? But still when you are home its not fun....having to just lay in bed, not feeling well...feeling like the room was spinning, dont have enough energy to even get out of bed to go to the other room. Coughing NONE stop....and my nose was running....oooo my poor nose it's raw.....not able to talk because my sore throat prevents me too....Man it sucks being sick.

BIGGEST LOSER UPDATE!

I love this show, it's my favorite....as you all should know by now. This season is one of my favorites not like last season where you had the evil VICKIE....(by the way to go MICHELLE who won!) Last night I was sad to see one of the guys that I was rooting for go home, Dan....he was REALLY over weight and it was good to see what he lost, that he did on the ranch. I want everyone to win on this show this season but I particularily like Tara (green) and Flipe(blue) right now, but the black team is also growing on me as well. The teams this seasons are all very supportative, they help eachother even members on the opposite team. They want everyone to succeed. It is very nice to see the non-"I hate you because you are on the other team." It's really refreshing. I recommend everyone watch this show, it really helps me succeed with my own weight lose goals.

It's been week full of blessings. We got a car, Duncan got a little promotion at work, and we got some un-expected money that we greatly needed. We are just greatful for our families and this gospel. Wow, This holiday weekend FLEW!

We were pretty busy....On Friday we cleaned, I went to weight watchers (down another 2 lbs!!,) the gym where I did a killer body combat class, and went to dinner and a movie (Bride Wars really cute everyone, at lease I thought so)

Saturday we went to the draper temple open house. The temple is GORGEOUS! However the brides room is not as pretty as the Bountiful temple's. The celestial room is INCREDIABLE! If you have a chance GO to the open house it's such a neat experience. After the temple Dunc and I went to IKEA where I had my very first "IKEA" experience. If I had the money and my Own, OWN place I think I would of bought the whole store out. We got a few things that we think helped spice up our place. After IKEA we had a friends fondue party. (pictures to come) It was really fun to eat and spend time with friends!

Sunday was a day of rest, I taught the sunday school lesson, went to dunc's and my family's house that evening.

Monday was a holiday for both of us.....I went to the gym in the morning and did another Body combat class....(I LOVE IT SO MUCH!) then we got ready to go do some errands, we finally got a wireless router, (spell) I got some hair product, saw my parents randomly at the gas station, and.........BOUGHT A CAR!!!!!!!!!

We bought a 2007 charcol grey Mazda 3!!!! We are very excited! Ill post pictures soon!!

DUNCAN:

Duncan just started up school again! YUCK! at Weber State and is pushing along. He is taking about 18 credits and continues to work at Mckay Dee Hospital. He is liking his "Tax/Accounting" class right now, because mmmm...funny thats what he is going into (Accounting) He is still watching sports like always and is very excited for the College Basketball season to really get started (specially March Madness). Duncan has liked playing basketball with either his friends or the elders....but has not liked the snow. We so want to move out of Utah to a state that DOESN'T get snow!!! We dont like shoveling.......

ME (Kallee):

I am starting up beauty school March 10th, and I am so excited. I will still be working full time..and going to school until 10 o'clock at night. (Ouch!) I got a new calling in our ward, I am the new Young Womens Camp director....if I wasn't busy enough let's add something on that's going to me even MORE busy. (I really am excited I love YOUNG WOMENS!! So really I am not complaining.)

We are still living in our home where we are taking care of the house while the Semadeni's are on there mission. It's lots of work, but we like it. We are just gearing up for the spring, figuring out what needs to happen to make the yard look it's best and our garden to get planted......But there is long winter to come so there is time....

I hope Ashley doesnt mind, but I stole some of her pictures of her cute baby. I just wanted to write and say how happy I am for you Ashley...you are amazing I love you to bits!!!

With this whole, my friend having a baby (and I have other friends that have kids and it always gets me thinking) but now more than ever since I am married and can start my family it always gets me thinking about how I am greatful eternal familes. My main purpose in this life, I believe, is to me a mom. I cant wait for that day to happen. I am scared of course who isn't? Parenting is a hard thing. It breaks my heart to see families that come into the system ( I work for Division of Child and family services) and see parents not fight for everything to just to be able to get there children back. They dont care they dont try, or simple give up, It's so hard. I am greatful for my eternal family that I have and the opportunity to be a mom in Zion. I am very excited for the day when I get to be a mommy.....CONGRATS ASHLEY Again!!!!

Soon to be NON-car less

Yes, my car died. It's sad but true. It died that day I got back from my honeymoon. My dear parents were kind enough to take my baby (2001 silver beetle TURBO!) from me and get it better. But they would own the car. It was very hard, cause now dunc and I had one car, which has been working very nicely I must say but I am going to be starting up beauty school here soon and transportation on the bus wouldn't work out anymore. Duncan and I have been saving money for this car, and duncan suprised me and said that we can get a car in FEBRUARY!!!! YAY (we were going to get one in july) We went and started test driving some cars this past weekend. We have been looking at Scions, Honda's, Toyota's....but we really like the MAZDA 3!!!! Thats the car we are looking for now. It's pretty exciting and scary all at the same time. So....here's my question for those of you who HAVE a Mazda, what's your opinion. OR if you know someone who has one....do they like it? Is it reliable? and what not? Have a super happy Monday!

Last night was the biggest loser Premier! AND IT WAS AWESOME! I am so excited for this season! Aren't You?? I was so excited to see Bob and Jillian again, they seriously are amazing I so want to be trained by one of them....that would be my dream before I die someday. There was a HUGE cast last night (and I mean literally HUGE) and I was like there has to be something coming, and guess what! They cut 9 PEOPLE last night! Yes 9 people!!! It was nuts!!! Anyway people, you should watch it! Tuesday nights at 7!!!

A Year in Review

The year of 2008 was full of eventful things....I thought I would share with you how my year went.....

JANUARY

In January I started to prepare for my wedding, Duncan and I were un-"officially" engaged at that time. Duncan proposed on the 25th of this month by making a movie of us, and he took us to were we had our first (my VERY firist) Kiss at the Syracuse football field. It was very sweet and Romantic

I went to a wedding expo and got some great ideas. I actually got my braces off in January on the 29th YiPEE!!!

FEBRUARY

February was more wedding planning, basketball playing and hair doing month. Duncan had our first Valentines day together, we went to dinner and then a movie called "Step up 2" it was very fun. Then the ugly and most embarrassing "first girly appointment" happen this month YUCK!

MARCH

March is BIRTHDAY MONTH!!!! Dunc and I have birthday's in march!

This month was lots more planning cause the official "100 days left" hit until we got married!!!

APRIL

April was more planning, we had our engagement pictures and our pre-wedding pictures done at the temple(which was FREEZING when we took them). We hit our 8 months mark of Dating in April, had lots of fitting appointments and hair appointments. We booked our Honeymoon to DISNEYLAND!!!/California

MAY

BRIDAL SHOWERS, BRIDAL SHOWERS, BRIDAL SHOWERS, I had a TON of Bridal showers this month. I also ran "Race for the Cure" With Duncan and my Brother Blake. We mailed out invitations, and finialized everything for the wedding; flowers, cake, dress everything.

The "one month" mark hit. I was getting so excited and nervous

to get married!!!

JUNE

I GOT MARRIED on June 12, 2008 in the Bountiful temple. I went to Disneyland, Hollywood walk of fame. My car died and I was now car-less.

JULY

Duncan and I settled in married life, we lived with his parents the first part of July and moved into the home that we are in now. We had our first 4th of July together.

AUGUST

We went camping up in the Uintahs with my family, and had a blast. We hit our "one year anniversary" of being together.

SEPTEMBER

School had started for Duncan.

OCTOBER

Disneyland girls trip with my aunt and cousins and my mom and sister. Duncan and I had friend parties

NOVEMBER

We had Thanksgiving on the Carlson side in Provo, had lots of fun!

DEcEMBER

Our very first Christmas together, got stuck in the snow....had Christmas morning with Duncan's family, lots and lots of family parties..

I loved 2008 and I was super sad to see it go. But I am very excited for the upcoming year, for starting beauty school March 10th, and the adventures that Duncan and I will have!!!

We needed this for our conference and you certainly are helping for beating a team that was ranked #1 many times this season!

Christmas this year ended on a good note....NOT!
Christmas this year was lots of fun, oh trust me...here let me tell you the story.
My cutie had just left for work at the hospital and was not off until 12:00 that night. I was over at my parents enjoying some family time. Until the big storm came in. I decided that it might be a good idea to start heading home. I was driving my parents car the beetle, which usually handles in the snow very nicely. I dont know if it was the driver or the car but it was not a enjoyable trip.
I started to drive in this crazy snow storm, when I started slippin and sliding everywhere. I started going extremely slow. I finally reached the hill that I was needing trek up in the beetle to my house. The roads where not plowed AT ALL!!!! I tried driving up, of course I couldn't make it up the hill. I tried again, nope not this time either. I called my dad and talked to my dad and brother. They were helping my with tips of how to get up this VERY SMALL not so hard hill at all. It was just not happening. I wasn't wanting to park the car on the side of the road cause I was afraid of someone running into my parents car. So I thought mmmm...I should try going into the church parking lot that wasn't that bad of a hill either. But of course I couldn't make it up that one either. I called my papa again, this time I was trying to go back up the street were my home was...and needless to say I failed. I didn't want my dad and brother to come and help me because it was Christmas and the weather was SO SO scary. I was crying and being the biggest boob. LOL Anyways I decided to park the car on the side of the road and guess what happened, yes sure enough I got the car stuck. At this point I was stressed out of my mind, calling my mom and freaking out. She let me know that I my dad was coming. All this time I was trying to get ahold of Duncan but of course I couldnt. Well in the end my papa and brother came and bailed me out. I was safe and Duncan came home safe as well. I will never ever forgot our first christmas. It was still very fun and nice!!!

This past Christmas was Dunc and I's first Christmas.....It was very nice and relaxing. The only downer was that Duncan had to work Christmas eve and Christmas day. My mom was very sweet and got me this Mickey Mouse apron, I love to cook and love DISNEY!!! Thanks mom!

I am becoming a freak of exercising, my other shoes were going to pot. I used them so much. Duncan let me go and get some new shoes with some christmas money that I got, and here they are!

I go to the gym every morning at 5:30 am before work. I dont have a gym bag to take all my stuff in for me to get ready after I am done working out. This was Duncan's surprise to me. He did such a good job.

This isn't a present but our other comforter that is so beautiful was not keeping duncan and I warm at night. We went to shopko the day after christmas and found this bet set for 12 bucks!!!

This however is probably my most precious thing I got this year. My mom and some neighbor friends had my flowers preserved. I remember the night of my reception that I didn't get to hold my bouquet one last time before I left on my honeymoon. I was kinda sad. But when I opened this present I couldn't help but cry. Now I will always have my flowers with me. THANK YOU mom!

Today is our 6 MONTH anniversary. Duncan and I thought it would be fun to go to The Anniversary Inn. It was so much fun, and the room was AWESOME! We had great food, and great company. It was nice to be able to relax, watch movies and eat food. But most of all we enjoyed eachother and remember the day that we got married. Makes me want to go back to Disneyland....but with my cutie this time. But that will be a while. LOVE YOU DUNCAN!!!

I chose to be involved a "Christmas Swap" that I did with my Healthy Diva's blog. I received my present about a week ago, I put it underneath my christmas tree not wanting to open it until Christmas. Well on sunday I was having a crumy day, I guess you can say that I was kinda of an emotional wreck. I was crying alot and such...anywho...at my moment of tears and pity for myself I remember something that would brighten my day. My gift from a dear friend that I have never met in person. I opened it as my husband was watching, the first gift said " Open before Christmas" so I did. When I looked at it I began to cry. LOL It was my "First Christmas Ornament." I HAVE BEEN LOOKING FOR ONE FOR FOREVER!!! I was so excited. It was so thoughtful, and kind. THANK YOU SO MUCH. Well after that I could not, NOT leave the other present. So I dis-obeyed what it said. (Not to open it until Christmas). I opened it which made me so happy. I received books about healthy eating and a work out video. Which than leads me to my next topic. I started weight watchers on Saturday, I am pretty optimistic about my adventure. One of the books was a weight watchers book, and the other was about cutting out the fat. I am greatful for these things. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU. My dear friend you will never know how much your thoughtfullness really helped me through a pretty hard time that night. It made my day.

Today is a great day...you want to know why? Yes people, I GOT THE GO A HEAD for BEAUTY SCHOOL. I talked to my boss today and asked her about my schedule changed so I can go to school. It's been a LONG LONG time since I asked...and she said that she got word and it was:

I am so excited to finally start something that I love. I excited to help women look and feel beautiful. Life is great and grand!

Now the only thing that is holding me back is Where do I go???? and mmmm...I might need to get a car?

Why is Heba and Vickie still on the Biggest Loser???

OOOOOOOOOOoooooo.....can I voice my frustration with the biggest loser this season??? And the main reason would be HEBA AND VICKIE!! I really do not like there attitudes and what not. Especially Vickie what a lame-o. I knew that Amy C was going to get screwed over the Blue team. (if you haven't watched the biggest loser, maybe you shouldn't because those two alone will drive you bon-curs!!!)

Well what happened was this....the week prior there was an opportunity to "get rid" of Vickie, and Amy C (who I love) had the swing vote, and could kick her off! Well she didn't because she kinda kicked her husband off the week before. Well....Amy C was trying to "stay loyal" to her blue team and voted off Colleen. WHO I WAS ROOTING FOR....Bad move sister!

Well there was now only two black members this week...and that left 4 blue team members. So of course it was obvious that the black team was going to pick them off one by one. Well....the black team member pulled huge numbers this week and didn't fall below! They were not up for elimination. Which ment it was the two BLUE team members. Which was Heba and Amy C. I knew that Vickie would completely vote of Amy C. Because is revengeful like that. LAME...anyway thats what happened. oooooooo......Makes me so mad....But I love at the same time. All I got to say is go BLACK TEAM AND KICKED THE BLUE TEAM BUTT!!!!

I have been regretting to write this post, my grief is just to unbareable.Yes, my dear beloved Cougs lost to freakin UTAH!!! I even told D I didn't want to watch the game all week cause I was so nervous for the outcome....and I now I realize I shouldn't of watched it..... However are pros and cons to this situation....Sadly BYU did not smash the Utes, and the good news is that Utah will get a BCS bowl which we need for our division.

I personally believe that "BYU" itself as a team did amazing...however Max Hall was having kinda of a hard night, and seemed to only have one person that he was throwing too...and that would be the Utah team. Max I forgive you, I know you can do better come back next year and kick some ace okay...

There is another funny story to this of red and blue. On saturday D and myself went on a walk to pay for our rent that was due. There were a ton of people honking and waving at us while we walked to the bank. (D was wearing a Y hoodie) On our way back, we were just walking when a white car pulled up. She stopped and we began to walk....but she wasn't looking or something and almost hit me. D had to grab and pull me out of the way. Come to find out, she was a UTE fan...oh sad day. She tried to hit me cause I was a Y fan. So that is my story of how I almost got hit by a Utah fan. LOL

Also, I am holding off on the going private for a while. But I will eventually go private at some point.

Wow, time flies when you are having fun. Duncan and I have been married 5 months TODAY. I was watching the Biggest loser last night (which by the way was AWESOME!! GO COLLEEN!!!!! That show itself is a post on all it's own.) when my honey said, " Do you know what tomorrow is?" I said, " Mmmm....???what?" He said, "It's our 5 month anniversary."

HOW CUTE IS THAT HE REMEMBERED, cause come people boys dont know the details most of the time. (like when you had your first kiss, when you got engaged that kind of stuff)

We are celebrating this weekend by going to a play called "Into the Woods and out to dinner. Duncan and I are going to try to celebrate EVERY month being married aroung the 12th. We have started a fun tradition with the ABC's, We will go to dinner with the corresponding letter of the alphabet. Like this Month's is the Letter "E" so we are going to try to find a resturant with that letter. It's been fun, cause we have gone to some pretty cool places.

What a weekend....

Here's a little update...
This weekend WAS CRAZY!!! Dunc and I were had the opportunity to take care of his little sis and bro at his parents house. It was lots of fun, Jess and Ty were having fun with their parents being gone by playing the wii and having the whole neighborhood over. But if I were there age I would do the exact same thing. On thursday my little bro Josh, had his appendix out. WOW that was random, I got to get off work early and go and see him in the hospital. He was still drowsy so I took advantage of the situation and teased him until I could not tease anymore. I loved it. Dunc and I also went to the "One Republic" concert at the Dee Events center. Other bands that came were, "Hush sound, and Spill Canvas." IT WAS AMAZING!! I loved the it. The One Republic singer was incrediable. What a talent. They are very musically talented. Dunc and I also went to the BYU game on saturday, it was fun to go on a date to the game. Dunc loves sports and BYU. It was a perfect combination. And to top it all of I had to teach in Sunday school this past sunday, and it was about "Eternal Marriage.." mmmmm....my favorite thing to talk about...MARRIAGE. Oh I love it. This weekend we are going to go have fun and go to a play called "Into the woods." I CANT WAIT...Dunc on the other hand can wait...He isn't such a fan for musicals...oh well...I love this time of season, the music the weather and family get togethers. Have a happy holidays seasons it's just beginning!!!

Haunted Mansion is by far my favorite ride at Disneyland. It's been my favorite since I was little kid. I love the spooky part about it..but now I love it more because of the fun things they get to do to it during Halloween and Christmas time. They change it into the "The Nightmare Before Christmas..." Okay people, I am back from DISENYLAND!!! I am so sad to be back, but I missed my cutie ALOT so I am also happy to back. (It was a girls trip!!) I truly was at the happiest place on earth. Disneyland is so magical and makes your dreams come true. While we there my mom and aunt met a worker that was named Katie. She was on the "Dream Team" which was a team that would get random calls from the office and they would go to random spots in the park and give people gifts and prizes. She was so fun!!! She told my mom and aunt to call her sometime the next day cause she had something in store for us. So we called her the next day, SHE HAD A PRIVATE MEETING WITH MICKEY FOR US!! She also took us to the front of the lines on many rides. IT WAS AWESOME!! But more importantly she made us feel like we were special and dreams really do come true. Even though our feet were sore, and our bodies ached Disneyland was totally worth it!!! Here is a picture of my cuz Brittany and I on the buzz lighter ride, (More pics to come.) We went on Space Mountain three times, Indiana Jones 2...and Tower of Terror 2! (that is a killer ride!!!) I also finally went on Finding Nemo!! I have never been on it, it was so cute!!! I also got to go on the new ride Toy Story Mania in California adventure park!! It was AMAZING!!! Oh, and did you know they are redoing California adventure park!! I am going to try to post the video on here to show you guys! Oh there are so many things I want to write, but I dont have the time right now...I am sure that pictures will tell the story when I post them!!

A couple of weeks ago Duncan and his best friend Cory went and played soft ball. The team that they played for were short on people and they asked them to come and play. Come to find out the whole team pretty much was not coming, and they were playing a pretty tuff team.
They ended up wining, which was awesome. There was this elderly man, that I would like to call Santa Clause...well Santa was not happy with how the game went and was very angry at the end. Needless to say I am afraid that no one is going to be getting presents this Christmas this year.

Duncan and I went to the REAL soccer game on Oct 9, 2008. It was the opening of the new RIO TINTO Soccer stadium! We went with a huge group of friends.... and my family was not two far away from us. Well...people we have hit a milestone!!! 4 months!! It's been awesome, I love being married. I love being able wake up next to my cutie, be with him always. This time of year brings back many memories for me. It was this time a year ago that Duncan and I began to really date and kinda get serious. We went on our first Disneyland "road trip" with a bunch of friends last year and that was when I knew I didn't want to ever leave this guys side. Here is a little update with Duncan and Myself....

Duncan is going to school and work. He is going into accounting and as of right now he is liking it. The homework on the other hand isn't so much fun and takes up alot of his time. Other than that he is slightly liking school. He works for Mckay Dee Hospital and registers people for when they come in for appointments or emergencys and gets insurance information. So if you ever go to the hospital which we hope you dont need to unless it's for a baby or something you might get to see my hunk of a man. He has decided to get his master's with accounting and CPA (is that what's it's called? I hope so, so that I dont look like a dork.) He has loved being able to watch football ever night pretty much. I am sure it drives him nuts when the wifie comes in and says, with big sad eyes, "Can I please watch the food network." We than work out a solution and switch back and forth. Other than that Dunc is doing awesome. I love him so very much and works so hard for me. He always wants me to be happy, Whenever we get into a little dis agreement, he is the first one that tries to make me laugh, and wont stop until I do. It makes our marriage very easy. I love it when I come home to him. I LOVE YOU DUNCAN!!!

Update on myself, well I am going to Beauty school, I am hoping really soon. However I have not heard from my work whether or not my work hours have been changed, and if I cannot go right away it will be when Duncan graduates (1 1/2 ouch!) So please pray that things will work out. I am leaning towards Fran Brown just because the class schedule and finicial that I will be able to get. They also teach the Sasson way, which is very exciting. I am still checking into Taylor Andrews but they have not responded to me at all...Fran Brown is the only one....Ill keep you updated. Well I am still working for the state. I am enjoying the people that I am working with however I get bored alot. I am wanting to start a Biggest loser competition with some people....with Blogger buddies or people around. If you are interested leave a comment and we will think how we will do it. I need to really badly get back into my workout routines I have slacked off since getting married which seems to happen to a lot of women.

I am going to DISNEYLAND in 22 DAYS!!! AHHHHHHH I am very excited, I am going with my mom, my little sister, My CRAZY COOL AWESOME Aunt LeAnn, Brittany (Cuz) and Chelsea (Cuz) Sadly Natalie and Tonya (sister and Cuz older sisters) are not coming with us. But we understand the reason for them neglecting the happiest place on earth.

My goals for this month will be:

Excercise at least 4-5 times a week. - save some money for my new chi-and always be happy-Serve at least 2 people in my ward some how.

The Biggest Loser

I have never really watched the biggest loser....but for some reason this season I have been watching it. Duncan and I love it! It's such an inspirrational show. I even cried while watching last night's episode. Every single time I watch it gives me the motivation that " I can" do it.

This season it's family pairs. Mother, Daughter, father, son, Father and Daugher, and of course Husband's and wifes.

For the first time ever (well apparently cause I have never watched the show) no one was voting who got to go home last night. The pair that was in the bottom was going to have to send on their family member home, and the kicker was THEY HAD TO CHOOSE (the pair had to choose if there loved on went home).

Sad to say my favorite team....the YELLOW team, the team that I am rooting for, the team that I think is so sincere was in the bottom. This team is a Father and Daughter pair. Colleen (the Daughter) is amazing she has lost so much weight and she is so kicking butt. However her father has had major health issues with his life and could die if he did not lose the weight. The Father (Jerry) had a hard time this past week, he got injuryed and with his health condition that put a major let down for him this week, he however is so supportive, loving, and would bend over backwards for his daughter.

What is so great about this pair is that they love eachother and no matter what, they are there for eachother. When they found out that they were in the bottom it was so touching to watch Jerry be so proud of his daughter when she lost 7 pounds but could not help but feel like he let her down because he had gained 2 (he has already lost 25 pounds!! way to go) They had the heart renching desicion of who would be going home.

They both were crying, and Colleen (daughter) was just saying Dad you need to stay here, you need to be here so you can LIVE, and I want you to be at my wedding, I want you to be live longer. What unconditional love. (Ya I know it's not spiritual but what an awesome father daughter relationship they had)

Sadly it was Jerry (dad) who went home and Colleen stayed on the show and now she has to work TWICE as hard to stay on. But that will be worth it.

Everyone should watch this show it's awesome.

From watching this show especailly that last two episodes I have learned that I can accomplish my goals, all I need to do is make the first move and continue and strive until I reach that goal.

Duncan just cant stop wearing my lip stick...and its not because I kiss him all the time. He wears it!!! (He is not gay people trust me!!)

Duncan was acting really funny this past weekend.... and luckily I was able to get it this time on camera.

Duncan thought it would be funny to get my white high heel shoes, and put some of my lipstick for a little fashion show for me.

After the show was over, he decided to attack me and kiss me all over my face. Needless to say I had PINK lipstick all over my mouth. I would like to say that he isn't like this most of the time. But he is, which makes my life interesting. I love him for it and I hope he nevers loses it.

He is a hoot....and makes me laugh. I hope you enjoy these pictures of my crazy, super attractive, silly husband and his new fashion....LOL!

OK, I have waited way to long to go back to school....and now it's time!!!!

I am going to start COSMETOLOGY SCHOOL!!

Yes it's time....my only problem is WORK and WHERE SHOULD I GO?

I have contacted Taylor Andrews in Layton and that's my #1 choice right now, and I have contacted FranBrown....are there any other suggestions people?

I am very excited, and cant wait to get started....my only problem is my Job......!!!!

Oh well...Ill pray and figure out what I need to do.
